What charity you selected and what they do: Children’s Inn in Sioux Falls, SD, offers many free, 24-hr services for victims of family violence, abuse, neglect, or sexual assault.Screen Shot 2014-12-19 at 4.50.43 PM

Why you chose this charity: I chose to donate $1,000 to the Children’s Inn because I believe that protecting and assisting the victims of domestic violence is a defining characteristic of a just society. The donation will bring hope to many people as they make possibly the scariest decision they’ve ever made. The Children’s Inn also assists with services like protection order application, crisis intervention, counseling, and support groups, in addition to their emergency shelter services.

How to donate: There are many ways to donate on their website at www.chssd.org/ChildrensInn/Childrens_Inn_Giving_Opportunities.asp
