It’s officially day 12 of our 12 Days of Giving, and what a fun 12 days it has been. On this last day of giving, we’re proud to announce Reach as our last organization, selected by our CEO and Co-Founder John. Read his thoughts below on why he chose to donate $1,000 to the non-profit and his personal connection to the organization. What charity you selected and what they do: The charity I’ve selected is Reach. Reach is a non-profit committed to helping others unlock the power of literacy. Their mission is to provide individualized reading, writing and life skills tutoring that empowers adults in the Sioux Empire to reach their potential. Reach has been bringing literacy to the Sioux Falls area since 1986.
Why you chose this charity: I have many reasons for why I chose to give my $1,000 donation to Reach. First and foremost, so many of take for granted the power of literacy. As I write this post and you read it, consider not being able to understand the words in front of you. Secondly, I’ve been honored to serve on the Reach Literacy board for over two and a half years and I’ve witnessed its impact first hand. Finally, Lemonly was proud to work with Reach in designing their logo and rebranding the organization that formerly the Sioux Falls Area Literacy Council into what is now Reach. This $1,000 donation will provide training costs and materials for one adult for an entire year.
How to Donate: By attending the annual Brewhaha Event (Feb 27) or online anytime.
