Cooking Shouldn’t Kill

A Classic Infographic for Himalayan Stove Project

#Health

In our latest infographic we worked with the great folks at the Himalayan Stove Project to create this graphic outlining the dangers of primitive cooking and how clean cookstoves can help. The bad news is that household air pollution from cooking over an open fire kills 4.3 million people every year, more than HIV, malaria, and TB combined. The good news is that clean cookstoves are the solution. Read the infographic to learn more about the dangers, the solution, and how you can help.

The Himalayan Stove Project helps reduce air pollution, deforestation, open fire accidents and slows snow melt along with improving health and saving lives. The Himalayan Stove Project is an all-volunteer organization distributing free, clean burning, highly efficient Envirofit Clean Cookstoves in the fragile Himalayan environment of Nepal.
