Another summer, another group of budding Lemonheads ready to punch up our projects, put out a few of their own, and learn a bit about the marketing world while they’re at it. (You may recall our interns from 2017, 2016, 2015… You can also find several of them on the team page nowadays!)

This week marked the beginning of Slice 2018: a three-month crash course during which a few college students or recent grads get a taste of how sweet the Lemonly life is. We ran them through the usual ringer, and without further ado…

Meet our 2018 interns!

C: I like flat pop.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be and why?

H: Spider-Man’s powers. Leslie Knope’s spirit.

S: Hermione Granger, she’s so cool and she doesn’t even know it.

What’s your favorite genre of music to work to?

H: Indie/Alternative or instrumental tracks… or this “Colors of the Wind” cover we’re jamming to as I type.

S: I definitely have a different genre for whatever mood I’m feelin’ at the moment, but normally I prefer a nice indie or alternative rock song. I’m really into Vulfpeck and Leon Bridges right now.

Do you have a favorite blog or podcast?

H: A travel blog called Nomadic Matt (not calling it NoMattic is a missed opportunity if you ask this writer) and NPR.

C: Podcast: Up and Vanished. Blog: Midwest in Style

H: A lawyer, for the awe factor — internally, I wanted to be a writer or a singer.

S: I wanted to be a children’s book author and would spend tons of time making my own books and drawings.

C: A crime scene investigator or a vet.

What drew you to Lemonly?

H: In a sense, the name. It sounded zesty and hip, so it drew me to delve deeper into Lemonly’s work. I’ve always admired writers that excel at producing concise yet beautiful copy, and gosh darn it… you make it look so easy in your infographics. I made a goal to snag an internship in hopes a bit of the talent would rub off.

S: I was really drawn to their company culture and how creative and exciting the work they produce is.

C: The people and and fun work!

Do you have any pets?

If you had to pick one to eat for the rest of your life, would you choose burritos or pizza? Why?

H: Pizza. Although, this choice truly depends on the time of day and current craving.

S: Pizza because you can make so many variations of it and a dessert burrito would be weird.

C: Pizza — there’s more variety there (breakfast, dessert, taco, etc.)
