Ten Illustrators You Must Check Out Now

Like many of my colleagues here at Lemonly, I like discovering new artists to inspire my own work. I especially like discovering new illustrators.

Working in a design agency doesn’t mean that we exclusively surround ourselves with only design-related things, we like to mix things up and explore all creative avenues. So, for this post, I thought I’d share with you all some of the awesome illustrative talent I’ve come across over the years. These illustrators are legit.

Blexbolex

Website // “People,” a book by Blexbolex
A screen printer by training, Blexbolex has a large following in the worlds of art, comics and children’s books. If you dig vintage-flavored silkscreen illustrations, you’ll dig this fella. Check out his book “People,”  it’s a classic and a top pick for both kids and adults.

Hannah Walton

Website // Instagram
Waldron is a British artist and designer whose work explores pattern, texture, and architectural forms. Her use of lines and and woven artwork are gorgio.

Luke Best

Website // Twitter
Ah, Luke Best. One of my all-time favs. I really dig the lo-fi nature of his collages. Inspiring stuff.

David Doran

Website // Instagram
A UK-based illustrator and recent graduate of Falmouth University, Doran’s work is bold and his printmaking skills are top notch.

Sac Magique

Website
An illustrator, printmaker and artist based in Helsinki, Finland, Magique describes his style as “playful aggression, like a delicious custard pie in the face.” Nuff said.

Rami Niemi

Website
Colorful, bold illustrations with just the right balance of irony and naughtiness.

Martina Paukova

What can I say? I’m really diggin’ this girl’s work. Vibrant penwork and eclectic compositions – all quite colorful and bold.

Raymond Biesinger

Website // Instagram
A self-taught illustrator based in Montréal, Canada. His shapes are clean, crisp and textural.

Giacomo Bagnara

Website // Dribbble
Bagnara is an Italian-based illustrator with a background in architecture. His style is playful and very much informed by his structural sensibilities. I dig it.

Barbara Dziadosz

This Polish illustrator’s colorful and oddly proportioned characters will make you smile.
